Merbau (also known as kwila) is the hero species of our forests. A naturally beautiful tropical hardwood, merbau is one of the world’s strongest and most durable timber species. Our merbau is:

• Free from chemical additives and preservatives
• Kiln dried to achieve ultimate stability
• Highly resistant to decay against the elements
• Rated Class 1 for above ground applications with a life expectancy of 40+ years
• BAL29 compliant and suitable for use in bushfire-prone areas
• Very stable with low shrinkage and movement
• Rated as Janka 8.6kN (seasoned) and strength (SD3 seasoned)
• Available year round at competitive prices

Sustainability is not just a buzzy concept for us. Our timber is ethically manufactured and legally verified. It comes from our FSC 100% certified native forest concessions, located in the biodiverse beauty of West Papua, Indonesia.
